Chemical glow sticks or light sticks, glow in the dark when two different chemicals react with each other. These two chemicals are stored seperately in a tube. To activate, the tube is bent and shaken until it starts to glow. The result is a light source as bright or even brighter than a torch light. Unlike the normal glow in the dark products which do not glow as bright but can be re-charged, chemical glow sticks cannot be re-charged or re-used. Once the glow fades off, which is usually between 3 to 10 hours, it has to be discarded. Glow in the dark lightsticks and glow sticks direct from factory. This ensures that you receive your glowsticks in good condition with the maximum shelf life of slightly over 2 years.
